The main disposable materials:

  1. Sand paper (40-80-120-220-320grit)
  2. Paper tapes (6/18/40mm)
  3. Plastic and paper cups
  4. Wooden stirrer sticks
  5. Latex or nitrile gloves
  6. Cutter blades
  7. Acetone

Sand paper
The amateur shaper's best friend! Professionals use something similar called sanding screen which seems advantageous (personally I have not tried it) because unlike emery papers, it does not get clogged, due to its perforated surface. Sand papers, adhered to EVA pieces or foam are transformed with little cost into satisfying replicas of the costly "soft" sanding pads!

Paper tapes
We will need many rolls, so do a market research before buying them, since prices vary dramatically but qualities not so much (if no heating is involved). The use directions should include the meticulous cleaning of the surface to which it will adhere, the proper cutting without overstretching it and the careful removal, especially from sensitive surfaces like EPS and PVC.

Cups
Paper glasses are preferable, since they are more enduring to chemicals but they cost more. Plastic glasses are cheaper and present no problems with epoxic glues. However, they get melted by most paint solvents, so be careful what you pour inside. The analogy of the liquid's height level to specific volumes is very helpful in some cases. In general, in every type of mix, even the most experienced technicians are sloppy. Personally, as partly a chemist, I always strive for the most accurate weighing - titration, and the credibility of the results justifies the extra time and effort!

Wooden stirrer sticks
The known to all pediatrician or ice-cream sticks. Ideal for mixing epoxy resins and putties, paints, lacquers, glues but also for the puttying of difficult surfaces. They don't "infect" the respective material and if properly cleaned, can be used multiple times.

Latex or nitrile gloves
Latex gloves are sensitive to rips, cuts and chemicals but very economical and resistant to resins which are our main material and also sensitive to most solvents. You can also find nitrile gloves which are more durable, expensive, reusable but require cleaning.

Cutter blades
Affordable and easy to replace. They will become rusty overnight if humid… Be careful with your fingertips. By folding the back side of the blade with paper tape we can create a basic handle.

Acetone
The common acetone that girls use to remove nail polish! Don't take your girlfriend's or she will hate surf even more and they include perfume additives and moisturizers that your tools don't need. It is essential for cleaning any tool or object from epoxy resin, while it is still damp of course.
ATTENTION! Acetone melts EPS! Try a few drops on a remainder piece after cutting the board shape, it is rather interesting…
